The Modern eR3 Aga also includes induction hob.
The Aga ovens take around 3hours to warm but then can remain on and used as a cosy heating source for the kitchen. The Induction Hob is instant. Full instructions can be downloaded below.
We really love our handmade Hot tub. Martin who makes them was a former wooden boat builder and is based down the road in Padstow. Our tub is Japanese Ofuro tub, it warms up really quickly about 30 minutes. The ideal temperature is 35 - 40 degrees. It will retain the temperature for a few hours.
The hot tub water is not chemically treated and therefore is changed between stays.
Safety details and full instructions and can be downloaded below.
The heating thermostat is on the wall at the bottom of the stairs, it is set to around 21 degrees as the house holds so much residual heat. It can be changed if needed.
All the lamps in the property are wired into the lighting ring therefore operated by wall switches.
The living and dining area only have lamp lighting.
The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms also have ceiling lights.
Whilst May House is warm its lovely to have the stove lit on a winter’s evening. It’s easy to light, just some kindling wood and a fire lighter and one or two logs will keep you warm all evening.

If you love BBQs you’ll love our Kamado Joe Egg BBQ. It great for simple BBQs but we have also done whole joints of meat. Just remember to use natural lighters for getting it started and lumpwood charcoal (not briquettes). Remember to open the top and bottom vents. Whilst cooking keep the lid shut for brilliant succulent results. Happy barbecuing.
